During the course of any advertising or marketing engagement, the creative team at IridiumGroup generates dozens of designs. After a client discovery
meeting, a simple, strategic brief is created and given to our team during an internal kick-off at our offices. IridiumGroup designers are encouraged to work
independently as we cultivate a forum of fresh thought and work to exhaust as many solutions as possible. During subsequent internal critiques, we edit and
refine our own work before the presentation to the client. Multiple designers and creative minds developing unique ideas, fresh interpretations: This is the
benefit of an original, studio solution for the client. But in the end, only one approach can work best to achieve the client's original goal. The rest of
the unused designs are archived, destined never to see the light of day. In the spirit of fun disclosure, below we present several solutions for one
client engagement, an advertising campaign for the UNFCU. These designs represented only one series of one option, among several that the client
received. For more information about IridiumGroup, visit our website,

UNFCU issues four types of Visa® cards to its members, with remarkable savings
and benefits for members over its competitors. They came to us with the
question of how to evolve the "Go Visa®" national campaign into one which felt
distinctly connected to UNFCU's brand. We did so using our experience and
knowledge of UNFCU's brand — applying elements of that visual system to create
an advertising campaign that honored the integrity of the original Visa®
design, while integrating the UNFCU brand.
It was apparent that we needed to make a significant visual impact, to engage all in-branch customers and audiences immediately. Bold color and creative interpretations of the "Go" brand element were a critical part of the design process. As seen here, we delivered numerous options on the "Go" theme. The final result was a successful collaboration between client team and agency, and an effective campaign for UNFCU. We had our favorite. Which one was yours? |
