A New Brand and Flagship Website for Members of an Important Medical Research Community

INSAR, the International Society for Autism Research, required a redesign of its brand identity and member website with a focus on better organization of content, greater efficiency, and an audit to better understand members’ needs. In considering what user functions could be added to the flagship site, we began with a questionnaire and a phase of research to see what features would be most beneficial. A second phase of client meetings manifested a series of wireframes that organized the content so that the information architecture was more intuitive and consistent. A third and final phase resulted in the application of insights gained in research to manifest a new design with compelling imagery, and a robust user experience that offered conference and event planning information, job postings, news, and member login.
