Approach and Process

We are strategic brand leaders. As a trusted partner-agency, we are committed to building creative, collaborative relationships based on a thorough understanding of our clients' goals and objectives and open, honest communication.

Our boutique size enables us to provide the level of service our clients expect and deserve while applying the kind of disciplined methodology found at the most elite agencies.

Our process is adapted to each unique challenge. Generally, our engagements follow a four-step process:

1. Discovery

Includes a kickoff meeting, a review of extant research and other relevant materials, followed by the development of a strategic brief; meetings with internal or external audience stakeholders to develop consensus that will inform and guide the direction of work.

2. Development

The approach in this phase may vary depending on the type of initiative. Generally, this includes content analysis and message mapping to ensure that all key messages, audiences, channels and products are planned and coordinated to be most effective; brand architecture for system of integrated products; and several rounds of strategic design in order to narrow the focus of look and feel. Ultimately, we aim to achieve a consensus on the client team that the final results — both in message and design — are a natural, appropriate manifestation and expression of the brand.

3. Template

Client-approved direction is formalized into prototype templates and usage guidelines for future application of the brand by internal creative team, or outsourced agency vendors. For websites, QA testing and WC3 compliance testing, cross-browser compatibility testing are conducted.

4. Application

Implementation of new brand to a flagship product such as capability brochure or website, which often leads to an integrated system of marketing tools. This vanguard product defines the organization and projects key messaging to many audiences. It also serves as a roadmap for best practice applications of the brand for outsourced agencies or internal teams, and captures valuable research results on the success of selected messaging and visual themes.
